Diesel particulate filter removes more than 95% of soot particles from exhaust gas. Modified injection times of the common rail system ensure that the filter cannot become clogged up and eliminate the need for fuel additives.

Soot emissions per diesel passenger car have fallen steadily over recent years. The diesel particulate filter helps to further reduce overall emissions from the growing numbers of diesel cars on the road.
